Usain Bolt was crowned Laureus World Sportsman of the Year for a record-equalling fourth time on Tuesday after ending his Olympic career with another three gold medals .
The track-and-field legend maintained his record of always being awarded the prize following the Games, beating off competition from Andy Murray, Mo Farah, Cristiano Ronaldo, LeBron James and Stephen Curry at a glittering ceremony in Monte Carlo.
He celebrated with a post-awards selfie, featuring some of the biggest names in sport including Michael Phelps, Simone Biles, Nico Rosberg.
Bolt, who plans to retire after this summer’s athletics World Championships in London, added to the titles he won in 2009, 2010 and 2013 to equal Roger Federer’s tally of four Laureus gongs.
