Goodyear Has to Make Custom Tires for the Ford Bronco

The Goodyear Wrangler series of tires are very popular.

Naturally, a vehicle like the Ford Bronco, which was born to decimate the off-road scene, would have to make use of them, and it does. So, on the offset, it would seem that Ford’s most anticipated and most significant new product in years would be not only forced to carry around its main rival’s name but remind its owners every day that the Wrangler exists. Only part of that is true, however, andthanks to a report from Motor1, we’ve learned that Ford and Goodyear have worked out a solution.

You wouldn’t expect a Mustang to roll on tires that say “Camaro” or for an F-150 to feature RAM badging, so a bronco with the Wrangler name on the tires isn’t going to work either. It’s almost an epic troll, but it’s unintentional, albeit a bit funny. But, Ford and Goodyear have come up with a solution. When Ford starts delivering the Ford Bronco in the Spring of 2021, those with Goodyear tires will be lacking the usual Wrangler name on the sidewall, at least to some extent.

So, you won’t see the Wrangler name plastered all over the Bronco most of the time. However, the Wrangler name will still reside on the inner sidewall. So, every time a Bronco owner removes a tire, they are going to have to stare down the barrel of the Jeep Wrangler. At least they won’t have to see it all the time, right?
