Telegraph Sport understands executives from Force India and Lotus will meet
with an MEP who raised concerns about F1’s complex series of financial deals
with the European Commission. They are hopeful that the looming threat of an
EU investigation will concentrate minds inside the sport. Another meeting of
the teams on costs has been called for December 18.

Meanwhile, Sebastian Vettel had his final farewell at the Red Bull factory
yesterday, where he received a half-scale model of a bull and a few comedy
gifts, namely some red Speedos, given Vettel’s move to Ferrari. The
27-year-old will also be given one of his championship-winning cars, but not
just yet.

“We don’t want it turning up in Maranello,” Christian Horner, Red Bull’s team
principal, joked.
