NEWEY’S MOVE
Adrian Newey’s new role, partially stepping away from F1 to take on other
technology projects, seems like a win-win for Adrian and the Red
Bull team. The precise nature of these ‘projects’ will soon be
clearer, but Newey has already showed interest in America’s Cup yachting.
The choice of him going somewhere else such as Ferrari, leaving the sport
completely, or starting this new role in which he can do other things but
still be a guiding hand for the F1 team, seems a no-brainer and Christian
Horner’s move should have staved off those other possibilities.
