To be totally frank, I got it wrong. Badly wrong. And I am being reminded of it pretty much every day.

It was a huge online success, sparking huge debate, and even led to a number of copycat articles also laying into him.
Feelings of anger towards Lampard – who then had yet to make his season debut – even increased when it was announced he would work as a pundit for the BBC during Euro 2016.
