Paul Hembery, the head of the Pirelli tire company’s racing program, has put a little pressure on the shoulders of Michael Schumacher by telling Autosport that he sees Schumacher as a favorite to win in Valencia, based on what the German did in Monaco, where he scored pole.
Of course, Schumacher has had so many races this season where his car has broken down that he’ll need more than just great driving to win. In Monaco it was the fuel line, in Canada last week it was the DRS getting stuck in the open position, preventing Schumacher from finishing either race. The guy has only two points this year after seven races. I’d love to see him win, though!
