On Dececember 1, items from the 2011 Formula One season will be auctioned by Bonhams
at Mercedes Benz World in Surrey.
This is no ordinary auction, and the items are expected to go fast, which
would be in keeping with their provenance. All the items being auctioned
have come from the Red Bull Racing team, and the proceeds will go to the Wings
for Life spinal cord research foundation. Like the F1 season, the
auction should get off to a good start with these Geox driving boots, worn
by Sebastian Vettel (and signed by him) for the first race of the season, in
Australia on March 27. He won the race. The estimated value of the boots is
