Kimi Raikkonen at the Lotus team, one of the six world champions racing in Formula 1 this year, is a very strong outsider for the title win, despite not winning a single race this year in his comeback. Raikkonen has won the Belgian Grand Prix four times, and has spoken about his hopes for Spa. But he also tried to play down the disappointing looks he has given on the podium this year when coming so close but so far from a win, as at the Bahrain Grand Prix when he finished second to Sebastian Vettel.

“Of course we would rather win than come second or third but it’s a long season and I think we’re improving all the time. If it comes then great, if not we’ll keep trying,” he said. “I’ve been in the business long enough that I don’t really worry about things too much. We’ve been improving our position in the championships – both for myself and for the team – so as long as we keep doing that hopefully the win will come.”
