On Monday we presented this week’s shifter and asked you to identify the make and model of the vehicle from whence it came. Chris S was the first to correctly identify it as a 1996 Suzuki X90. He will receive a Save the Manuals magnet and sticker as a reward.
The X90 pictured here is from our January 1996 issue. Back then, we described the odd two-seater SUV as a sort of Jeep-meets-Honda del Sol. We also likened its general look to that of a fat puppy. It may have looked chubby, but the X90 weighed just 2502 pounds; unfortunately its four-cylinder made only 95 hp. As a result, the X90 crept from zero to 60 mph in 10.8 seconds.
