“Hopefully, I will still be here in the coming years in Formula One, which is
what I want now.
“Everything is better this year. The team is better. The car is better. I am a
lot better. I have got my dad here; we have a real, real good bond now. We
are on the up.
“Things are great and that’s reflected in my performances.”
Button,
meanwhile, believes that with teams such as Sauber and Lotus pushing the
established front-runners, Formula One fans are witnessing some of the best
racing the sport has ever known.
He and Hamilton came through from fifth and seventh on the grid respectively
in Sunday’s Chinese Grand Prix to finish second and third.
“It was a fantastic race and we’ve had three of them this year,” Button said.
“What else can we give the fans? I don’t think there is anything. For me we
are having some of the best races in Formula One history.”
