As the F1 teams take another short break before their final test of the winter season this week, there has been a lot of talk about which car is the best designed, and which cars profited by a loop hole in the blown exhaust rules that forced the FIA to re-write the rule recently.

Could it be the Renault? Could it be the Mercedes? Who knows. But the current test sessions so far really do raise the age old question of the degree to which speed is about the car and the degree to which it is about the driver.
