Lewis Hamilton scored the 22 pole position of his career on Saturday as he set the fastest time of qualifying, after being the fastest man at the track outside Budapest all weekend for the Hungarian Grand Prix, which takes place on Sunday.

It came at a good time for Hamilton, who had a bad race in Germany last weekend, and who has been accused in the media of being not very focused at the moment after he was photographed partying recently. Like who doesn’t party?

The Hungarian Grand Prix is the last before Formula 1 takes a monthlong summer break through August before returning for the Belgian Grand Prix in Spa on 2 September. It happens to be a good time for the racing series to take a break as attention throughout the world of sports will turn to the Olympics and all of its sponsors, as opposed to F1 and all of its sponsors.
