It’s been nearly 20 years since legendary Brazilian F1 driver Ayrton Senna was killed in a crash at the San Marino Grand Prix in Imola, and today he would have been 54 years old. To celebrate the driver, Google painted its Brazilian home page with his likeness, plus a retro-looking F1 car graphic and typeface.

Typically, Google’s so-called “doodles” transform its homepages in honor of historic events, holidays, and iconic people and their contributions to society. While Senna is widely known all over the world, he is nigh on godly in Brazil, hence why he will serve as the face of the search giant for the day there.
