Michelin emerging as a potential challenger to Pirelli.
Ward, 56, a close ally of Mosley, first revealed his interest in running for
president last month, saying there needed to be “a healthy debate”. It is
understood that he will publish a manifesto next week.
“My campaign will be very much about the structure of the FIA, rather than
about individuals,” he told Telegraph Sport on Thursday.
“In my opinion it is not fit for purpose in the modern world. That is what I
want to address and I think it is best done independently [of the FIA
Foundation].”
