“Later this month, no fewer than 1,168 volunteers will descend on Silverstone
to play their part in the British Grand Prix in a variety of roles such as
course marshals, incident marshals, spectator marshals, medical personnel
and rescue crews. All are highly trained and form part of the 10,000-strong
British motor sport marshalling community that keeps the UK’s 5,000 motor
sport events and 750 clubs going year-round.”
