Jenson Button ended his victory drought in Belgium by winning the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps on Sunday, in his first victory since winning the Australian Grand Prix in March. The British driver led from start to finish in a complete domination of the event.

But the start of the race was dominated by the disaster at the first corner when Romain Grosjean caused a huge crash that eliminated both Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton. After the race, Grosjean was given a one-race suspension and a fine of 50,000 euros by the race stewards, so he will not race in Monza next weekend at the Italian Grand Prix.
