“I still love it there because they are so passionate and there is so much
history at the circuit. I hope that Brazil stays on the calendar.”

The 31 year-old, who is now guaranteed to beat team mate Lewis Hamilton in the
final standings, is attempting to tie up second place in the championship
this weekend.

Button, who like Hamilton has three wins this year, leads Ferrari’s Fernando
Alonso by 10 points going into the race and said he was desperate to improve
on a mediocre record at Interlagos which has seen him finish just once on
the podium in 11 visits.

“I’d love to win in Brazil,” he said. “It is a very special race both for
Lewis and for me. We both won our world championships there. But whatever
happens I will still feel very positive about this year.

“If we end the race on a high like we did in Abu Dhabi, we all start with a
clean slate in the first race next year.

“[World champion Sebastian Vettel] will be confident going into the new season
but he is not going to be any more confident than us.

“We are so close to Red Bull right now. Finding that time, that difference, is
not difficult.”
