In celebration of M GmbH’s 40th anniversary, BMW Classic brought five period race cars to the AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix at the Nürburgring—two M1 Group 4 racers, a 320i Group 5 car, a 1987 M3 Group A, and a 1995 320i STW. In addition to the factory cars, owners of any BMW racers produced after 1972 were invited to take part in two M-only Jubiläumsrennen. (That’s “anniversary races” to us Yanks.) All of that said, the real point here is to look at some pictures of some very cool BMW race cars. Enjoy.
