Meanwhile, speculation over race seats for 2014 continued with Lotus’s Kimi
Raikkonen suggesting that the team’s rumoured financial issues might be
holding him back from extending his stay at the team.
Asked if it was true that he had not been paid, Raikkonen, who has been linked
with both Red Bull and Ferrari, said: “For sure it’s not as it should, but
hopefully those things get sorted quickly. They know there are certain
issues we have and until those are solved there is no point talking about
next year.”
