The Ford Focus RS hot hatch will reportedly get a $5,000 price increase for the 2018 model year.
Ford has already announced the 2018 Focus RS will be offered in a limited edition model, but according to CarsDirect, it will start from $41,995 including destination. The substantial increase in its pricing isn’t unjustified, however, as the AWD hatch does get plenty of additional standard equipment including a limited-slip differential, the RS2 package, voice-activated navigation, 19-inch wheels, carbon fiber interior trim, and a black roof.
Compared to the 2017 Ford Focus RS with similar options added, pricing would be around $41,770. So technically, it’s not a substantial increase due to the added content, but it gives buyers less choice.

Production of the 2018 Ford Focus RS will be limited to 1,000 units in the U.S. and 500 units in Canada, and buyers will get to choose between Nitrous Blue or Race Red for their exterior color. Under the hood remains a 2.3-liter turbocharged engine with 350 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque.
Look for an official pricing announcement to come from Ford in the near future, as the American automaker will start taking orders this summer. Deliveries of the 2018 Ford Focus RS are expected to begin later this year.
