An early picture of Porsche’s 911 Targa just leaked, showing the sports car ahead of its planned Detroit debut.
The company hasn’t released any information about the car aside from the debut date, but the picture shown here reveals that it will feature a retro-inspired rear end. The wraparound design draws from the original 1960′s Targa. Porsche hasn’t confirmed that the picture is official, but it looks like a scanned magazine image.
The missing roof section is expected to retract into the cabin at the touch of a button. If Porsche offers the same engine options as it does with the coupe and convertible models, the 911 Targa will come with a 3.4-liter flax six making 350 hp in the normal version and 400 in the Targa S.
