The 2016 Range Rover Evoque Convertible has officially been revealed as the “world’s most capable all-season convertible.”
The Evoque is Range Rover’s best-selling model, and the British brand is hoping a convertible variant will help broaden its appeal. The convertible has room for four, boasts a “proper boot” and even a ski hatch.
Details are scarce, but expect the convertible to be powered by the same 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder with 240 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque that’s in the regular hardtop Evoque. A nine-speed transmission will send power to all four wheels. Range Rover promises that the convertible will be just as capable off-road as its other Rover siblings.

We will see the 2016 Range Rover Evoque Convertible in person at the L.A. Auto Show, and sales begin in spring 2016.
But judging on the awful sales and subsequent discontinuation of Nissan’s scorned Murano CrossCabriolet, do you think Range Rover’s attempt at this segment will be successful? Let us know in the comments below.
