On Monday we presented this week’s shifter and asked you to identify the make and model of the vehicle from whence it came. The first commenter to correctly identify it as a 2003 Acura 3.2CL Type-S was Jesse M.—the year was easy to pin down because it was the only one the car was offered with a six-speed manual. Jesse will receive a Save the Manuals button and sticker as a reward.
The 3.2CL Type-S pictured here duked it out with a BMW 330ci in a 2002 comparison test. The 3.2 essentially was an Acura TL with two fewer doors and a 260-hp V-6. However, even though it cost less than the BMW, its front-wheel-drive layout was no match for the 330ci’s dynamic goodness.
