Could Audi be considering a diesel variant for its hot RS5 sports car?
Making its debut soon at the Leipzig Auto Show is the Audi RS5 TDI concept sporting a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo diesel engine that is also supported by an electric supercharger to generate 385 hp and a ridiculous 553 lb-ft of torque. Though that’s 65 hp less than the gasoline RS5, the concept car has 236 more lb-ft of torque.

The concept is part of the company’s celebration of the 25th anniversary for its TDI engine and accelerates to 62 mph from a standstill in about four seconds with a top speed of 174 mph. The standard RS5 in comparison does the 0-62 sprint in 4.6 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
