The 2015 GMC Canyon will make its official debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.

Similar to the previous-generation Canyon, the 2015 model will be related to the Chevrolet Colorado, which made its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. To set it apart however, expect the GMC Canyon to feature different styling and interior trim than the Colorado.

Under the hood, expect the same powerplants for the Canyon as the Colorado: a 2.5-liter four cylinder with 193 hp and a 3.6-liter V6 with 302 hp. Shortly after the vehicles’ launch, the American automaker will add a 2.8-liter turbo-diesel engine to the lineup. The entry-level four-cylinder model will have the option of a six-speed manual transmission while the other models will come with a six-speed automatic.
