Porsche 356 Pre-A snow play

You might look at this guy drifting his 1953 Porsche 356 “Pre-A” around corners in the Colorado wilderness in the dead of winter and think, “man, what an idiot!” But toss aside your preconceptions about classic cars, preservation, and what have you, and instead focus on what matters: This owner is actually using his old Porsche. And he made a film so you could enjoy him enjoying using his old Porsche.

We happen to think winter slip-sliding (on studded tires!) is a far more glorious existence for the thing than shutting it away in some hermetically sealed safe room to await future auction riches. And the owner isn’t just some guy—he is Jeff Zwart, a film director and former rally driver and Pikes Peak Hill Climb champ. Watch him push the little 356 to its limits in the clip below; it’s a bit long, but totally worth it.
