Tesla hasn’t forgotten about its Roadster owners despite the spotlight being on its Model S sedan.

According to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, the Roadster will be getting an upgrade this year, though Musk didn’t elaborate on when or what. It is likely that Tesla will be updating the Roadster’s software and Musk promised that it’ll be “something cool.”

The news comes during a shareholder’s meeting, when an investor inquired what was going on with the Roadster and Musk replied by promising that the upgrade would come this year. The Tesla Roadster’s production ended three years ago and it’s unlikely that a successor will be coming anytime soon as Tesla focuses on production for the Model X and then the Gen III affordable electric car.
