A diverse mix of vehicles made it onto this week’s list of the top five most researched cars in AutoGuide.com’s new car shopping section.
Curiously, the Tesla Model S was the most popularly searched car this week. Despite selling in smaller numbers than any of the other vehicles on this week’s list, it seems that the Model S is perpetually popular with window gazers as much as actual shoppers.
Subaru’s Forester compact crossover was also frequently searched this week as was the Honda CR-V that it competes with directly. Both use four-cylinder engines, although the Subaru uses a continuously-variable transmission and is sold exclusively with all-wheel drive.
Chevrolet’s Silverado half-ton pickup truck also made it onto the list this week as the fourth most popular nameplate overall, followed closely by the Toyota Prius.
